Description

The Summer Mathematics Institute (SMI) is a fast-paced intensive program for mathematically talented students. Rising 7th – 11th grade students who are excited about learning and have excelled in mathematics are eligible to apply. Students enroll in one of the following classes during the three-week residential program: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, or Precalculus. Please click on the SMI 2017 Brochure’s link below for detailed information about the program. We are now accepting applications for the 2017 program. SMI uses a rolling admissions option and fills spaces on a first-come, first served basis with qualified students; therefore, interested students are strongly encouraged to mail their application packets as soon as possible. If spaces in a class fill before the application deadline, qualified applicants will be placed on a wait list. If a space becomes available, we will contact the student via e-mail. Incomplete application packets will not be considered. Completed packets must be received by 5:00 p.m. on March 30, 2017. Submission of an application does not guarantee admission to the program. Since the SMI staff is currently working with TAMS students, please understand that we cannot contact students when an application is received. All applicants will be notified via e-mail of our decision. Please allow three weeks for notification.
